John Banks

John Banks (1883-1945)

Studied at J.S Watkins School, Sydney (with Harry Garlick). Associate, RAS NSW, 1923-45. The principle subjects of his paintings were marine, seascape, landscape and figure compositions treated in an impressionist manner. (The Encyclopedia of Australia Art, McCulloch, 94)
